Setting up facilities for major cloud service providers requires meticulous technical coordination among multiple global contractors. Función Digital carried out the structured cabling, the interconnection of distributed systems, and the commissioning of electronic security systems for a hyperscale data center with eight operational phases located in the Aragón region of Spain.

Project Objectives:

• Systems-Oriented Network Architecture: Shielded structured cabling and precision conduit for video surveillance systems, corporate wireless networks, internal security connectivity, and power devices (BACOP).
• Data Infrastructure and Racks: Deployment of fiber-optic backbone, installation, labeling in accordance with international standards, and organization of communications racks ready for large-scale data operations.
• High-Availability Access Control: Installation and interconnection of 15 main access control panels (ACP) and configuration of 90 distribution units (ADP) responsible for managing the automated security of 123 service doors using card readers and exit buttons.
• CCTV and Smart Security Ecosystem: Installation and configuration of 200 technical cameras, 30 robotic dome cameras, and 20 intrusion detection radars to secure operational areas and common areas.
• Commissioning (Testing): Stress testing and commissioning of the CCTV and access control systems, as well as the technical setup of the control room equipped with 12 operational monitors.

The project was completed in an optimal timeframe of 10 months, using a coordinated technical team (1 General Supervisor, 3 Field Supervisors, and 8 Technicians). The entire internal network and fiber-optic infrastructure underwent certification processes that guarantee zero data packet loss and an immediate response from the alarm systems.

Through this project, Función Digital demonstrates its high level of expertise in integrating multi-brand ecosystems under strict international regulations. By successfully coordinating the technical cabling and installation of mission-critical hardware, we delivered a platform ready to handle high data traffic flows with the highest level of perimeter security available in the technical market.
