Behind every cellular signal lies a massive effort in civil and mechanical engineering. Función Digital carried out a comprehensive plan for the construction, retrofitting, and maintenance of base infrastructure to support the transmission systems of the region’s major communication networks.

Project Objectives:

• Civil Engineering Work for RBS: Construction of reinforced concrete foundations, perimeter walls, underground utility lines, and structural bases for base stations.
  
• Mobile Solution Deployment (COW): Installation and commissioning of Cell on Wheels (COW) stations to provide temporary or emergency coverage at large-scale events.
  
• Metalworking Modifications and Maintenance: Structural reinforcement of towers, preventive maintenance of vertical structures, and modification of hardware for new transmission equipment.
  
• Infrastructure Audit and Inventory: Detailed technical survey of the physical condition of existing structures for expansion plans.

Proper execution of the civil engineering work ensured that the structures could withstand the most severe physical and climatic loads, extending the towers’ service life and accelerating the deployment of new transmission cells through the use of COW mobile units.
