Repowering of High Energy Scanners in the National Customs Directorate of Paraguay

In the context of government operations, technological upgrading is a crucial factor to ensure efficiency and effective control of activities. In this sense, the National Customs Directorate of Paraguay relied on Función Digital to carry out the repowering of its high-energy scanners, thus modernizing its control and security processes. This project not only optimizes the scanning capacity, but also strengthens the technological infrastructure of the institution.

Integral Modernization for the National Customs Directorate

The project consisted of a comprehensive renovation of Customs’ technological capabilities, covering several critical areas. The following are the implemented areas that made this change possible:

• IT System: An advanced information technology platform was established to support the customs operating systems, ensuring stability and security in the handling of information.
• Structured Network Cabling: We implement a structured cabling system that facilitates a robust and efficient connectivity between the different strategic points, ensuring the continuous flow of data.
• Electrical System: Improvements were made to the electrical infrastructure, optimizing the distribution of energy to high-consumption equipment, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
• Monitoring Center: We developed a modern monitoring center, capable of supervising operations in real time, improving response capacity and control at customs facilities.
• DMS (Document Management System): A document management system was implemented to facilitate organization and access to information, optimizing workflows and ensuring document traceability.
• UPS System (Stabilized Energy): In order to ensure operational continuity in the event of possible power outages, we installed a UPS system that guarantees a constant supply of energy to the most critical equipment.
• Daisy System Upgrade: We performed an upgrade of this key system, ensuring its compatibility and functionality with the new scanning and monitoring equipment.

Impact of Modernization on Customs Operations

The implementation of these technological solutions has enabled the National Customs Directorate to significantly improve its control and security capabilities. The repowering of high-energy scanners, together with infrastructure upgrades, ensures efficient compliance with international standards in customs operations.

Thanks to these improvements, Paraguayan Customs is better equipped to manage its workflows, with a more robust, secure and prepared for future challenges technological infrastructure.
